Calli Grant

Miss Rodeo Glenville

Calli GrantHello my name is Calli Grant, and ever since I was a little girl I was obsessed with horses. It all started when I would tag along with my father Steve to his horse judging, ranch rodeo, and finally horse show meetings. Due to the fact that my family was involved in many different aspects of the equine world I have been able to be proficient in many different aspect of this life style. I would like to take the communication skills that they have taught me, and apply them to becoming a dispatcher for the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

Sara McClaine

Miss Rodeo Tehachapi

Sara McClaineI am 19 years old and am currently attending California Polytechnic University of Pomona as a junior majoring in Animal Health Science. A little about myself I have competed in rodeo for close to six years and have been part of the queen society for  four years. I love animals and that is why I am pursuing a career as a small animal veternarian. Besides rodeo I enjoy taking my horses out and competing in the Extreme Cowboy Obstacle Race courses. Becoming Miss Rodeo California would be a great opportunity and I am thrilled to run for the title and make new friends. My name is Sara McClaine and I am representing Miss Rodeo Tehachapi.

Kristyann Miller

Miss Rodeo Norco

Kristyann MillerBeaches, bikinis and vegi-burgers? Think again. 24 year old Kristyann Miller is redefining what it means to be a California Girl; dusty arenas, Wrangler jeans and country cuisine are more this girl’s style, but don’t let that fool you. Kristyann does hit the sand; on her American Quarter horse. Beneath those sun-streaked locks and sun kissed tan beats the heart of a true horsewoman.

Influenced at an early age by the women of the West, Kristyann skipped the pony stage and went straight for the quarter horse. What’s the point of getting on if you can’t blaze a trail like Belle Star? With her single action revolver in hand and horse at the ready Kristyann blends her passion for horses and guns in Cowboy Mounted shooting; a natural extension from her love of rodeo and adventurous and competitive spirit.

Kristyann might not be the stereotypical California girl, but she couldn’t imagine calling anywhere else home.
