January 2015

I cannot believe I am already one month into being Miss Rodeo California 2015. It feels as though it has flown by, but then again I have already been able to do so many things and meet so many great people. By the way this is Carollann Scott, Miss Rodeo California 2015, and this is my first blog post!

My year started out with a bang as I was able to ride in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. There were two events prior to that in celebration of the event that I was also able to attend. I attended a dinner for the Equestrians of the parade and Equest Fest. At Equest Fest I rode with the Broken Horn Ropers in a trick roping act during the event.

During the parade I was allowed to ride with the Norco Cowgirls Rodeo Drill Team. They were so gracious to let me a part of their parade entry and I had so much fun in the parade with them. The whole experience was unforgettable, the night before we had to camp on the freeway and wake up very early to get ready and head to the parade. I have never had so much fun celebrating the new year.

The next weekend I was able to go to the Miss Rodeo Texas clinic in San Antonio. I had so much fun getting to know the other girls at the clinic including some of the other state queens. I learned so much and hope to apply all that I learned throughout the year. I also got to visit the Alamo and the River Walk while I was in San Antonio.

I then traveled to Denver for my first rodeo with my new title. I had so much fun with the other state queens. We helped with the performances, signed autographs, visited a hospital, visited the Children’s Museum, attended Denver WESA Market, and enjoyed every minute.

It has been a great month. I have been overwhelmed with the amount of support that I have received from my community and the rodeo community. It is an honor to be a part of such a great organization. I am so excited for what is to come. I am going to post more about Hunter Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram but for now I want to say one of the best parts of January was becoming acquainted with the new truck I get to drive! Thank you so much to everyone at Hunter Dodge, I am so excited to drive my Ram of the West truck for all of 2015!

Thank you to Hunter Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram for your support of the Miss Rodeo California organization. I love my new truck!
