The Miss Rodeo California, Inc. Board of Directors is pleased to announce the 2016 MRC Pageant Contestants! Please join us for the Miss Rodeo California 2017 pageant October 5-7 during the California Finals Rodeo in Lancaster, California.

Dominique N. Mantel

Miss Rodeo Glennville

Between the Gabilan and Santa Lucia Mountain ranges lies the heart of the Salinas Valley, where 22 year old Dominique Mantel was born and raised. From splashing in the coastal waters, to kicking up dust at the California Rodeo Salinas, Dominique enjoyed the best of both worlds growing up on the central coast. She now attends College of the Sequoias studying Ag Business, she shows on the intercollegiate circuit and competes in Ranch Riding on her American Quarter Horse. If she’s not in the arena or hitting the books you can find her hiking through the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Sara McClaine

Miss Rodeo Tehachapi

Blonde hair and hazel eyes are what comes to mind when talking about Sara McClaine, the 21 year old daughter of Cj and Julie McClaine. Sara has decided to follow her love for animals and persue a career in the Veterinary field just like her mother did at the California Polytechnic University of Pomona. She comes from Apple Valley, Ca where she lives with her 8 horses and many other animals. Sara loves to rodeo and participate in the breakaway roping, barrel racing and team roping (heeler) events. She is a fan of the outdoors but if its rainy and she has to be inside why not sit down and read a good book. She is excited to participate in the Miss Rodeo California pageant and make new friends as well as represent the great city of Tehachapi and the Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo Association as the 2015 Miss Rodeo Tehachapi.

Brittney Phillips

Miss Rodeo Ramona

Brittney is a 23 year old student, working professional and Barrel Racer born and raised in Ramona, California. She attended Grossmont College, pursuing of a minor in Communications. Her plan is to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising to attain a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Merchandising. Brittney began barrel racing at a young age and has found another passion – Being a representative for the sport of Professional Rodeo. She competed in her first pageant in 2009 and has since represented various rodeos and communities. On her horizon, she presses to finish her education, obtain the title of Miss Rodeo California, and barrel race on a professional level.
