National Director – Markie Battaglia
Markie Battaglia is a graduate of Arizona State University and a business owner and operator residing in Southern California. Markie is proud to serve as the Miss Rodeo California, Inc. National Director and booking coordinator, and now serves on the Miss Rodeo America Executive Board. She was Miss Rodeo California in 2010 and won Horsemanship and was 1st Runner-up at the 2011 Miss Rodeo America Pageant. She loves being a part of an organization that does so much for the empowerment of young woman. In her spare time she enjoys team roping with her family and friends.
President/Pageant Director – Brittney Phillips
Brittney Phillips is proud to serve as Miss Rodeo California, Inc’s President and Pageant Director. She began barrel racing at the age of eight, and at the age of fourteen found another passion; being a representative for the sport of professional rodeo. She has represented various rodeos and communities around San Diego County and went on to be crowned Miss Rodeo California 2017. Following her reign, she had the privilege of competing for the title of Miss Rodeo America, where she placed in the top ten. Brittney has taken her skill set from her years of being a rodeo queen and turned it into a career handling sponsorships and donations for Boot Barn, Inc. Brittney thoroughly believes in what rodeo queen pageants teach young women and is enthusiastic about having a helping hand in growing the next generation of rodeo ambassadors and enthusiasts.
Vice President – Brittany Hensley
Brittany worked at Boot Barn, Inc. for over 12 years, managing multiple store locations throughout the company, and is now the ShopManager at SmileDirectClub in Fresno. Brittany resides in the foothills of Clovis with her husband, Christopher and their two children, Raegan and Lincoln. Brittany held multiple rodeo queen titles over the years and won the title of 2006 Miss Rodeo California while representing the Bakersfield Stampede Days Rodeo at the pageant. Brittany went on to compete for Miss Rodeo America in December of 2006 and placed in the Top 10. Brittany enjoys competing in local gymkhanas and barrel races with her daughter. Brittany is proud to serve as Miss Rodeo California Pageant, Inc’s Vice President this year, and is looking forward to having a part in the development of our future Rodeo ambassadors.
Secretary – Tracey Scott
Tracey Scott is a wife to Ben Scott, mother of three, barrel racer and volunteer. Her experience with Miss Rodeo California came as a mother, when her daughter Carollann (Scott) Romo was Miss Rodeo California 2015. She has volunteered to help with the horsemanship for the past three years and enjoys helping the young women who compete each year. The sport of rodeo is very near and dear to her, as her husband was a PRCA Steer Wrestler and she was a WPRA member and they competed in rodeos together for many years in the 1980s and 1990s. She and her family still enjoy team roping and barrel racing and her children have competed in youth rodeo, high school rodeo, college rodeo and professional rodeo. It is a family affair for the Scotts and helping with this organization is a natural fit.
